Artist Spotlight: Part One Hundred and Eight

You've met this artist, Kris, here before, here, here, here, and again here, when I showed you what I myself have gotten from her!

She's still at it, though, using her talent, creating, and making her wares available to all of us for purchase!  Check 'em out...

What you can find in Reflections:

There are paintings now!

And pendants!

What you can find in Lisianblue:

How sweet is that snuggle bunny?

Artist Spotlight: Part Ninety-One

You've met the talented Kris here before, but now she's got two shops at Handmade Artists!  The one from which I've shopped is Reflections, where she's got all her wonderful glasswork, ornaments, paperweights, wind chimes, vases, suncatchers, candle holders, and crazy amazing art.

Getting ready for Valentine's Day!

I love this tetrahedron!  I have one like it, but this is beautiful.  They're just so fun to look at and definitely a conversation piece for your desk.

I just love these wind chimes!

The other is lisianblue, where she makes available her amazing knitted and crocheted items, quilts, and some other amazing things.

How cute is this snake?  It's a necklace, a toy, a lariat... all at once!

This piece, quilted, beaded, and collaged, just absolutely blows me away.

To keep up with Kris, be sure to follow her blog.  Never know what she'll create next!

Artist Spotlight: Part Ninety

I think it might be faster to tell you what Rhonda of Lil' Bit Sassy doesn't make.  But I'll try to tell you what this creative woman from northwestern PA does make.  After that, you'll just have to visit her shop and blog to see what I missed.

So... dog coats, book covers, iPad cases,

cupcake toppers, bibs, and burp cloths,

dolls, teddy bears, and cuddle buddy blankets,

luggage tags and heating/cooling packs (the packs I can vouch for; I bought one for a friend and it was great!),

and last, but definitely not least, hair accessories and superhero capes!

Sassy, indeed!

Artist Spotlight: Part Eighty-Three

You've met her here before, and here too...

So, let's catch up, shall we?  She's added some more adorable stuff to her shop, like bibs with matching booties.

And hair clips for the kiddos.

Also for the kiddos, she did up this awesome girlie skirt.

Of course, there are still awesome hats.

And check out this gorgeous vintage quilt that she made & then more recently revamped!

So... more news.  In addition to her current Handmade Artists Shop, she'll be opening a second shop soon for her gorgeous glasswork!  Stay tuned...

I'm happy.

So I've got this baby shower to attend tomorrow.  Remember I made that knitted mouse for it?  I also got the impending baby a cute little pink dress with a matching hat.  Her mom's all about the pink for the baby - I could tell from the registry.

Well, in addition to that, I got her these awesome handmade bib and burp cloth sets from The Voodoo Kitten.

Aren't they adorable?  Her stuff is so atypical and really well made.  So I thought I'd share.  You can find more of her wares at The Cranky Cat Studios too.

I swear I don't cheat!

I've been really lucky.  Weirdly lucky.  Winning things.

Want to hear something weird, though?  Before recently, I never really won much of anything... until I won the flight to Ireland for our honeymoon.  I won that in 2008, and we got married and took our honeymoon in 2009.  We were already planning the trip to Ireland, and I won the flight from Aer Lingus by blogging wedding planning at an Irish interest website!

That was huge.  Recently, though, I've been winning lots of smaller but wonderful things.  That mosaic tray, the shirt revamping contest... and now, a bib for my nephew!  It's handmade and way too adorable.

It's from eve B designs, and she's got an Etsy shop.  So many cute bibs!  I love this girlie one:

I can't help it, I've got a thing for cupcakes.  As an aunt to nephews and no nieces, though, I chose a boy bib. And it arrived today!  Once I opened the padded packing envelope, this is what I saw:

Of course, I opened it to see the bib, but then I folded it back up to give it to my sister like this, since it's so pretty this way.  But I did open it.

And unfolded it.  Wanna know what's even better?  It's reversible!

I read the tag to see if there was any pertinent info besides the fact that Evelyn Bierlein, the brains behind eve B designs, is from Lowell, MA, and I found this:

I had no idea.  I won the bib, but I had no idea that she was donating 50% of proceeds.  So I looked up the Kent County Children's Assessment Center to see what it is.  Wow.  They help kids who've been sexually abused is what they do.  Yeah.  Even if eve B designs bibs weren't so adorable and phenomenally made - and they are! - this is a heck of a reason to buy from that shop.

Go look around.

And while you're at it, become a fan of her Facebook Page.
