Artist Spotlight: Part Ten

An even ten!  Adrian Monk would be very happy right now.

Sorry, that was my geek side.

This week, we're spotlighting a husband and wife team... just like us!  This team, though, uses the different talents of each of them to their best advantage in creating a varied body of work.  He has engaged in woodworking, ceramics, sketching, sewing, painting, and graphic arts.

She has tried paper making, macrame, beadwork, shrink plastic, web design, wood burning, sewing, sketching, and writing.

Together, they are Pleasant Peasantries, selling their wares in their Etsy store.  There, you'll find many more items, even macrame key fobs shaped like dragonflies!

I get such a kick out of that.  I also get a kick out of this pair of ceramic containers, perfect, according to the site, as pencil holders, mini vases, or shot glasses!  Doesn't that just scream "great present for a college student"?

I just love the colors on those too.  But then, I love the coloration of most of Pleasant Peasantry's ceramics.

Heck, I even love the ones without color!

There are some really beautiful and interesting macrame items, too, like this handflower.

Or this really great Celtic necklace.

And I really do love this macrame and beaded choker.

For more information about this dynamic duo and their new ventures, visit the blog.  There, you can see the experiments in bookbinding.

And - get this - a D&D game table!  Ha, and I called myself a geek over Monk!

The "Pots and Knots" couple are both very talented. It's wonderful that they're able to work so well together!
