Artist Spotlight: Part One

I'm trying something new.   I'm going to do an extra blog post once a week, spotlighting another crafter/artist.  Many will have nothing to do with soap, soaping, or anything in bath and beauty.

But bear with me.  You'll see some amazing things here.

This week, I'm spotlighting Seedlings Jewelry.

This jewelry maker, Sharon Turner Paradiso, is absolutely amazing.  Her work is all original, and all beautiful.  This woman is an artist, with a capital "artist."  I mean, look at this amazing necklace, titled "Mended Heart":

Isn't that amazing?  I'm truly blown away by the craftsmanship, the work put in, and heck, the idea of it.  I wouldn't have thought of that.  Would you?

My favorite thing about her, though, is that she uses natural materials (Gee, why would that appeal to me?  Ha!) and that she's dedicated to using eco-friendly, recycled, and Fair Trade items to create her masterpieces.

Besides that, on her own blog she freely offers tips and tricks for other crafters!  That is definitely someone who's a giving person.  You should check it out.  Her most recent post is about taking photos of your work, and how to make them the best they can be.  I know I'll be taking some of her advice!  We make great soap, but our photographs definitely leave something to be desired.

But go.  No, really, go.  Go fish around the Seedlings Jewelry site and look at the products there.  Heck, buy some!  Go read her blog and say "hi" to let her know you've been there.  But definitely go.  It's ok if you don't hang out here right this minute... as long as you come back!
